Chattanooga Whiskey 99 Rye – also known as Tennessee Rye Malt – is our malt-forward approach to Rye. Classified as a Straight Rye Malt Whiskey, our version of this rare and flavorful style contains more than 60% malted rye in the mash bill, which results in a richer, spicier, and more complex flavor profile. As with most of our recipes, 99 Rye traces its roots to our Experimental Distillery, where it became one of the first Experimental Batches ever produced there. This now treasured recipe contains three varieties of malted rye: pale malted rye, caramel malted rye, and chocolate malted rye - which collectively contribute notes of candied fruit, sweet herbs, and baking spice.
