Rated 92 by Winery
Rated 92 - This craft bourbon is distilled on Long Island, utilizing a high-rye mash bill (and locally grown grains) and the “sweet mash” fermentation technique. The bottle's label makes prominent references to maritime influence, and there is a subtle salinity to this whiskey's nose and finish. More noticeable is the enjoyable winter rye spice, and luscious vanilla and caramel notes. - Vine Pair ... More details

Woodsy scents of cigars, freshly baked ginger cookies, hints of vanilla, and honey make up the nose. The oaky palate brings forth flavors of stewed stone fruit, cinnamon, allspice, tobacco, and roasted grain. Spice pipes through the warm finish. - 2022 ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE

Rated 90 by Whisky Advocate
Soft, delicate, fresh, and citrusy on the nose, with aromas of satsuma orange and lemonade. The palate is sweet, balanced, and very smooth, balancing orange and cooked pear with cocoa powder, roasted coffee beans, coffee ice cream, light nuttiness, and white pepper. The finish is long, spicy, smooth, and polished, with cinnamon stick, milk chocolate, and plenty of spice. Well-built and unified, with a marvelous chocolate sweetness as a finale. - Spring 2022

Country: United States

Whilst there are several strains of native grape varietals in the United States, it was the introduction of the European species which prompted the country to begin producing wines on a large scale. Over the past few centuries, experimentation and cross-breeding has produced great successes in regards to the quality and suitability of the fruit grown in states such as California, Oregon, Washington and New York, and the past few decades have seen New World wines from the United States reach much higher standards. Arguably the finest United States wines have always come out of California, where the climate and terrroir is most suitable for fine wine production. The masterful blending of classic grape varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, amongst others including Syrah and Chardonnay, have had world beating results in recent years, prompting many to suggest that there has never been a better time for buying and drinking United States wines.
