This 100% malted barley spent two years in new charred oak and boasts an amber color, sweet caramel scent with a touch of coconut and juicy apple, and relatively dry flavors. What sets this whiskey apart is the remarkable deep cocoa and pronounced coffee finish and velvety, creamy mouthfeel, reminiscent of ice cream and root beer foam. Toasted oak, pineapple stalk, and honey come to mind at first, with layers of Marcona almond, lemon peel, and milk chocolate underneath. Supple and fruit-forward, the palate is awash in apricot, nuts, and more honey, before pink peppercorn and sweet spice join in. - 2023 ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE

Gold color. Aromas and flavors of rising bread dough, mixed garden herbs, butterscotch and vanilla, cinnamon, orange, and and baked apple with a velvety, lively, dry medium body and a warming, appealing, medium-length finish conveying accents of honey malt and cocoa powder, vanilla and butterscotch, orange and baking spices, and shortbread. A high quality American Single Malt with layers of fruit and balanced barrel spices; tasty and delightful.
Winery
Color: Burnt amber. Nose: Caramel-butterscotch, vanilla, maple syrup, leather. Palate: Cinnamon-butter, vanilla, chocolate, warm caramel & spiced pear. Flows over the tongue like table cream & melted brown sugar. Finish: Light fruitiness and strong oak presence with rich tobacco and aged leather.

Country: United States

Of all the New World wine countries, perhaps the one which has demonstrated the most flair for producing high quality wines - using a combination of traditional and forward-thinking contemporary methods - has been the United States of America. For the past couple of centuries, the United States has set about transforming much of its suitable land into vast vineyards, capable of supporting a wide variety of world-class grape varietals which thrive on both the Atlantic and the Pacific coastlines. Of course, we immediately think of sun-drenched California in regards to American wines, with its enormous vineyards responsible for the New World's finest examples of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot based wines, but many other states have taken to viticulture in a big way, with impressive results. Oregon, Washington State and New York have all developed sophisticated and technologically advanced wine cultures of their own, and the output of U.S wineries is increasing each year as more and more people are converted to their produce.
