A solid cocktail choice, this 100% agave Tequila has rich, rounded vanilla and zingy peppery notes followed by a dry cocoa accent on the finish. The bottle is a stunner, with its yellow, red and black Day of the Dead graphic that's meant to be frozen to bring out additional thermochromic details. Aromatics on the nose are slightly woody, showing pencil shavings, grilled asparagus, and roasted golden apple. Light-bodied and ethereal on the palate, there are notes of apple tart, lemon peel, and grilled pineapple that stay fairly persistent through the finish. Straw yellow color. Grassy, green, peppery aromas and flavors of cocoa nibs and cracked black pepper, cedar saw dust, lemon meringue, earth savory, and black tea with a round, crisp, dry medium body and a compelling, medium-long finish with notes of green, herbal, floral, and savory, lemon rind, honeysuckle, dark bitter chocolates, anise, chinese five spice, leather, pine, and salsa verde. A well-balanced and harmonious reposado with hints of oak.
