Redbreast is a rich, spicy single pot still Irish whiskey matured exclusively in first-fill Sherry and bourbon casks, and this fantastic 21 year old is no exception. A masterpiece of cask selection and blending, we absolutely love this older expression with its notes of tropical fruit, menthol and a touch of leather alongside all that mouth-filling goodness you find right across the range. Gold color. Aromas and flavors of floral honey, flan and nougat, and spiced nuts in a cedar bowl with a supple, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a layered, very long finish revealing suggestions of dried tropical fruits, rich brown and peppery spices, granola with vanilla cream, and BBQ rub. A most-deserving Single Pot Still whiskey that delivers deliciousness with every sip.

Honey, vanilla, peppercorn, Golden Delicious apples, macadamia nut, green banana, and clove-spiked orange. The flavors are bright with green apple, banana, vanilla, and citrus, developing a delicious creaminess to support the pot still spices. The creaminess really crowns this older whiskey as something special, with the bourbon wood playing a greater role than in younger, jammier Redbreasts. The finish is wonderfully long and warming, with spice, tangy orange, and oak. - Summer 2020

Nose: Remarkable aroma spanning fresh tropical fruits, nuts and rich dried fruit. Taste: Soft vanilla, toasted oak, sherry nuttiness with a dusting of spices. Luscious fleshy fruit notes complete the silky mouthfeel. Finish: Lingers, seemingly forever, with oak and an assortment of spices and then, the final bow from barley – where it all began.
